My rating: 3 of 5 stars

A digital copy of this box set was provided to me in exchange for an honest review.

While the first book in the series takes us through how the protagonist Ardy Larkin meets Demon, the ruthless President of the Dueling Devils. Working for the latter in order to pay off a debt and an impossible deal that her father got caught into, Ardy had no choice but to entangle herself in Demon's web. While Demon struggles with his own internal conflicts, falling for Ardy was something he wasn't prepared for.

The second book takes us through Ardy's dilemma as she gets caught between her love for Demon and the dangers that are associated with being his woman. While Demon is intent upon keeping his family safe, his avengeful instincts will not let him rest. Do Demon and Ardy find peace amidst all the chaos, is what forms the rest of the tale.

The third book brings us to the lives of Lefty, the frivolous man who doesn't prefer to look at the same woman twice, and Gia, the trust-averse beauty he encounters. Irresistibly drawn towards each other, can these two keep their hearts to themselves and ensure that they do not fall for someone they do not trust, is what the story is all about.

The books are each paced well and the narrative suits a contemporary romance. The characters, although not endearing themselves to the reader, are remarkable in their own ways. Although the idealogies and the philosophies of the characters are not discussed at length, the author gives us enough insight into the characters' lives to help one empathise with the decisions and the behavious of the characters.

Overall, this was an easy and casual set of books to read. I would recommend this book to lovers of contemporary romances.
