Book Review -- Entangle by Veronica Larsen

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A digital copy of this book was provided to me in exchange for an honest review.

The story revolved around Alexis Stone, a highly successful and attractive entrepreneur. Being in the corporate world comes naturally to her, but keeping her heart from getting broken doesn't. A particularly painful incident leaves her loathing relationships and she decides to stay single and unscathed. However, she is unable to resist herself from getting drawn to Leo Conrad, the Director of Engineering in her company. His cool indifference and masked demeanor pique her interest. Leo is keeping away from relationships and girls, owing to a horrid experience he has had with his ex girlfriend, which leaves a bitter aftertaste in his mouth. They eventually give up trying to deny to themselves their mutual attraction, but are not ready to trust anyone to keep their hearts and emotions safe. Are they able to move on from their troubled pasts and find solace in each other again, is what the book takes us through.

This was a breezy romance and an easy read. The characters of Alexis and Leo shared a good chemistry and the pace of the book was just right to engage the reader's interest. I found the plot good to begin with, and slightly predictable later on. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed the book and I would recommend this book to lovers of romance and emotional dramas.

My rating for this book: 3.5 stars
